An Analysis on the Domestic Research Trends for Occupational Therapists¡¯ Job Stress

Abstract
Objective : The purpose of this study is to find out the research trends related to job stress of occupational therapists in Korea and to present the direction of future job stress related research by comparing and analyzing the factors related to job stress.

Methods : From 2000 to 2019, a total of 20 studies were finally selected by searching the articles registered in the database according to the research selection criteria.

Results : As a result of analyzing the qualitative level of the study, 17 studies (85.0%) corresponding to Level IV were mostly. As a result of analyzing the research trend, there were 9 studies (47.4%) on the correlation between job stress and psychosocial factors, and studies on job stress coping strategies were insufficient. As a result of analyzing the sub-factors affecting occupational therapist's job stress, the frequency of significant results was high in items such as job demand, interpersonal conflict, lack of reward, job stress other than work, heavy duties. In the future, it was confirmed that there was a need to actively conduct research with high quality as well as research related to program development and effectiveness verification to prevent occupational therapist's job stress.

Conclusion : Through this, if job stress is reduced, it will lead to effects such as increased job satisfaction and improved job involvement, and it is expected that the overall quality of work can be improved, including improving the quality of occupational therapy.
